Aly Nicely is an entrepreneur with a vision to diversify the wholesale marketplace by educating and empowering other women entrepreneurs of color in the beauty space. Aly has always had an eye for creating her own business landscape and remaining in alignment with the vision and plan she has been called to. She began her journey as an entrepreneur when she decided to bet on herself and get involved with digitalundivided’s BIG Incubator program. After participating and engaging in the program, she was able to build relationships with mentors and individuals within her cohort who sparked more of her interest and commitment to business and carving out a voice for diverse women in entrepreneurial spaces.

Not only is Aly the Entrepreneur in Residence at digitalundivided but she is also the Founder & CEO of Beauty in Color, a startup leveraging technology to connect women entrepreneurs to retailers. During her #undividedATTENTION episode, Aly dove deep into her experiences, sharing how she overcame imposter syndrome, the power of investing in yourself, and using self affirmations to make her brand and business successful.

  1. You Are Meant For More.

As a woman in business, you ought to subscribe to the belief that you are meant for more. In fact, you have been chosen to do the work that you do and no mistakes have been made in your process. During the beginning phases of her entrepreneur journey, Aly always knew that she was meant for more. She knew that she was called to acquire more by providing a service and source of support to other people. She did not spend much time questioning this. She invested her time and her effort in a program that provided her with the education, connections, and skills to grow her business and did just that. Aly encourages other women entrepreneurs to do the same. Discover how to step more into your purpose and power by creating something bigger and something that has far more reach than what you can ever imagine.

  1. There Is Power And Rewards In Investing In Yourself.

Aly confirmed that the best gift you can give yourself and your business is an investment. Participating in digitalundivided’s BIG Incubator program not only sparked excitement, but was a personal investment Aly took great advantage of. Through the program, she connected with mentors who provided her with the skills, resources, and tools she needed to expand and grow her own business. Making the decision to invest in herself even presented an opportunity to collaborate withSally Beauty . Investing in your business goals is a great start to an entrepreneurial journey. Your business growth matters!

  1. There Is No Room For Imposter Syndrome.

Imposter syndrome. Cringeworthy, right? We all have come face to face with imposter syndrome one too many times. Overcoming imposter syndrome can be a bit challenging, but Aly shared that having a good support system to lean on for accountability and progress and believing in yourself both play huge roles in minimizing this feeling.. The BIG Incubator program taught her how to “shed the notion that [she] needed a corporation to value what [she] had to offer.”Aly learned how to stop linking her value to her job title. She spent time combating imposter syndrome and thoughts about her business that did not align with her reality, affirming her gifts, education and creativity as an entrepreneur. In the end, she was able to unlearn what her inner critic said and take on more of her truth as a business owner. The good news is that anyone can overcome imposter syndrome by owning their accomplishments as opposed to giving ownership to their accomplishments. As a growing entrepreneur and business owner, you have the innate ability and intelligence to begin reframing your business beliefs to positive ones.
